Omelet or omelette?

Last night in effort to introduce a vegetable into our diet I attempted making protein packed, veggie filled omelettes. I whipped up some eggs, grilled some veggies and was ready to go with my omelette preparation station. I failed.

So, how do you flip an omelet? Does one really need an omelet pan? This beauty (below) is from Williams-Sonoma. It is the All-Clad d5 Stainless Steel Nonstick Omelette Pan and retails for over 100 bucks. really? Really? Do I need a pan that has call letters like an airplane or diesel truck?

"What are you cooking with tonight Chef?"
"Well I was thinking about my I-90a, but this humidity calls for the d5?"
"Good choice."

and do I need a special omelet flipper? This little lady (below) is the Littledeer omelette spatula - also from Williams-Sonoma. I actually wouldn't mind having this, it just looks useful.

My omelette turned in to delightful scrambled eggs, which were tasty. I can't help and think that my eggs would have been tastier in a perfectly folded little pouch.

Jerk.
Julia did it. I'm going to pour over this video for the remainder of the afternoon.

On a side note, these bacon and eggs cookie treats came from The Baking Sheet
