Last Thursday I went to my first Junior League event, "Runway for the Roses." My friend Janal is a League-er and invited me to this pre-Derby dinner party hosted at Churchill Downs racetrack. The event served as a fundraiser for Kosair Children's Hospital in downtown Louisville. Not knowing what to expect in the least - I decided to pair my shockingly red skinny-pants with my pearl earrings (given to me on my 13th birthday by my Nana) - a natural pairing for-sure.
