San Francisco {day 6}

The NAMB Send North America meetings ended this morning so mid-morning the Cross Church crew headed out for a driving tour of San Francisco and a trip to Napa Valley.

A church member arranged for us to have a SUV and driver - and what a generous gift that was. Our driver, Miguel, took great care of our pastor and his wife, our missions pastor and his wife, and Drew and I.

Wildlife on the campus of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Golden Gate Seminary is about a 10 minute drive once you cross the Golden Gate Bridge.

The drive to Napa Valley was truly beautiful. The fog lifted and we saw the sun for the first time in days! Once in Napa Valley we stopped at the Farmstead Restaurant, owned and operated by the Long Meadow Ranch. Long Meadow Ranch is a 650-acre historic home and ranch in the Mayacamas Mountains above the Napa Valley. This super casual, rustic restaurant delivered us the best meal of our trip, and every element of the the decor and design made me think of my sister. Drew even said, 'I think your sister could live here.'

I had the Long Meadow Ranch beef cheeseburger on a homemade potato bun with California sharp cheddar, arugula and herb fried potatoes ($15). Served with homemade ketchup and horseradish mayonnaise. I failed to take a picture of the incredible tomato salad, which was serve with green goddess dressing and toasts with some type of yummy, spreadable cheese.
