This morning just wasn't going to happen without some coffee (and Excederin). So I swung through Heine Brothers' Coffee (yes Heine: like one's buttocks or one's bum). This locally owned coffee shop, which made an appearance in our Christmas card last year, offers what I think is the best coffee in Louisville. The Heine Bros. crew is a bit like the Whole Foods crew - very "natural" and "granola-like," but they are always friendly. I have many memories of Heine Brothers' from when we first moved to Louisville and I was unemployed and without Internet access. I spent hours in Heine Bros. using their Wi-Fi to search for jobs and send in applications.

This morning, while waiting for my coffee I noticed this...sorry for the lame photo. But this is a new Heine breakfast item: Cocoa Puffs with a shot of espresso and milk. Oh dear! Maybe this will be a treat sometime this month when Drew's gone, which is approximately 2/3 of the month (Virginia, Chicago, New York, Nashville, Springfield).
