Hanging this banner was a doozy. It took 10 men from the convention center work crew almost an hour to hang it, but it sure does look nice. (ps: convention center work crews are $500 an hour!)

This is the highlight of our booth, it is a functioning "iPad" made from a flatscreen tv and a fancy custom cover. The "iPad" is resting on a pile of giant books that reflect the publications written by some of our professors.

After booth construction was complete Drew and I headed out for a date at Maggiano's. This is the only restaurant in the world that I'll order fettuccini alfredo from, so this evening I consumed hundreds and hundreds of calories in delicious pasta sauciness.

After dinner we had to walk off the sauciness, so we strolled down Michigan Avenue. And you know what, it was windy.
This is urban-Drew in front of the Chicago bean. This metal sculpture is called Cloud Gate (aka "the bean") and is in Millennium Park.

Our reflection in "the bean."

The Frank Ghery amphitheater, also in Millennium Park.

The entrance to the Chicago Art Institute.

We arrived back at the hotel to find the rest of the SBTS team having some real-deal Chicago pizza. Now I've never had Chicago style pizza but I can't say it looks like something I drive five hours to eat.

Have fun and don't blow away! By the way, Chicago-style pizza is very much worth the drive!
